Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that you may have questions; let us try to cover the most common ones below.
Our Teach26 curriculum runs for 36 weeks, just like any local preschool program. You will receive access to a student portal where we host all our classes. This portal can be accessed on a desktop or from your tablet or phone (even though we don't recommend phone use for children as they get distracted and can navigate away easily). Our program progresses on a week-by-week basis; each Saturday, new lessons will be published. You will have two pre-recorded lesson videos and two live classes per week. Each week we have a theme that we explore and connect to the letters, colors, numbers, and art projects for that week.
Your child can go at his or her own pace.
You will also get weekly worksheets to print at home and help your child reinforce concepts learned during the lesson. Ideally, your child will have the weekly worksheets handy to follow along with the lesson.
Our yearly subscribers get all 36 weeks of worksheets printed and mailed for even more convenience.
With Teach26, it's not about quantity, but quality. Every minute is designed to be interactive, engaging, and beneficial for their development. You'll swap passive cartoon watching with active learning that preps them for kindergarten and beyond. Our program's daily screen time estimate is about 30-45 minutes per day.
You can replace as much or as little amount of screen time your child gets with our lessons and recorded live calls. Repetition is always key with little ones!
At Teach26, our online preschool uniquely combines the personalization and flexibility of home learning with the structure and community of traditional settings. We prioritize interactive, engaging education through technology that captivates and educates, making learning both fun and effective.
Our curriculum is designed to foster individual growth, allowing children to progress at their own pace. With the active involvement of parents (as much or as little as you want), we create a supportive learning environment that enhances development.
Even better, our online platform plans to introduce children to a diverse community, as we can reach kids anywhere there is internet access. This social interaction will enrich your child's educational experience with cultural awareness and social skills. By leveraging the latest in educational technology and methodologies, Teach26 proves that online preschool can offer a comprehensive, effective, and enriching early learning experience.
Great question! While your child is engaging in our classes or live calls, we like to encourage you or any grown-up to be nearby, especially for our younger learners, as they will need help logging in to the portal, selecting the correct lesson to watch, or connecting to the call.
For arts and crafts, you can plan at your convenience if you want to be involved or not. Some activities might require a bit more guidance (i.e., when using scissors), while others are designed to foster independence and confidence in your little one. This can be a fun and great activity to bond further with your child if you can make the time. It's all about finding the right balance that works for you and your child.
For phonics lessons, ideally, and to see real progress, a grownup will need to actively participate. You will be saying the letters out loud as your child repeats them after you. We will show you exactly what to do inside the student portal, and it only takes about 5 minutes per day!
We aim to make our online learning experience interactive and engaging enough that children can participate with minimal supervision, yet we always appreciate when a grownup is around to share in the joy of their child's learning moments.
Even though our program is designed to make it as easy as possible for parents or caregivers, it is highly recommended for your child to practice arts & crafts (fine motor) skills and we do that with simple at home activities which require minimum supplies. In most cases, you already have these supplies at home. We do provide you with a list of basic supplies to have handy for our fine motor activities.
We provide you with worksheets for every week to help your child enrich their learning and practice different concepts. You can print all or some of the worksheets, this is at your discretion.
Yearly subscribers get all printed worksheets mailed for their convenience!
As of right now, we have 2 LIVE calls (aka, "Preschool Pals) per week. Your child can attend both. As we grow, we plan to add more so that kids can have, ideally, daily socialization calls if they like. On that note, if you refer a parent that enrolls too, you can get $20 off from your monthly payment.
Our goal is to help your little one enrich their people/social skills while having fun in an environment where kids can interact, dance, ask questions, sing, count, go over colors, numbers, days of the week, calendar, show and tell, celebrate birthdays, etc!
We like to keep classes small with 7-10 kids max.
We DO! You will gain access to our private Teach26 community where you can connect with other parents or caregivers, ask questions, interact, get updates, tips, and who knows...maybe even coordinate playdates.
Yes, we are a real school! We are a private virtual preschool program with our home office located in Pembroke Pines, FL. We serve students all over the USA, but really just anywhere with internet access. Your preschooler or kindergartener will receive a "Certificate of Completion" from us upon request if they have attended for a minimum of 3 months. We are also planning to do a virtual graduation for kids that attended a full-year Teach26; stay tuned!
If you choose to keep your child home for preschool or kindergarten, your local public school is required to accept your child into their respective grade level based on their age (regardless of their schooling to date).
We require a 30 day notice for any cancellation. Which means you can cancel any time but the cancellation will only be effective 30 days after and last payment will be deducted.
